Ann and I spent a week exploring the beautiful area around **Vilamoura, Portugal**.
**Purpose of our trip**
The goal was to evaluate the possibilities for **long stays (1–2 months)** based on recent requests we have received — focusing on golf courses, hotels/resorts, and nearby attractions.
**Our findings in short**
The month of **September** is considered **high season** in this region. For guests interested in a longer stay, we would not recommend this period: prices are high, and the golf courses are very busy. Expect rounds to take **4.5 to over 5 hours**.
**Our advice:**
plan your stay **later in the year or at the beginning of the new year**.
There are plenty of excellent options for long-term stays. In cooperation with a **local DMC**, we can arrange the entire package — accommodation, golf, and transfers.
